Check out the type tester!
I’m stoked to announce my latest collaboration with David Desandro. Previously, David and I worked on my portfolio which uses his amazing jQuery plugin Isotope. After that, David and I designed a logotype for his company Metafizzy. He’s always a pleasure to work with, and an amazing craftsman. One hell of a guy to meet randomly on the Internet.
I wanted a place to test my typefaces that was dead simple, and made it easy to share whatever words you wanted with the world. I noticed in chat conversations, I wanted to say certain things in the fonts that I’ve worked on, but there was no easy way besides taking a screenshot in Illustrator and emailing it.
That’s when I had the idea to create a simple site for sharing language in a certain style. I really hope people use it in this way, but if nothing else, it’s a great way to check out my type.
I must extend an enormous thanks to David for all his help on this project. He did all of the work, coding from the ground up, and it came out way better than I ever could have imagined. I’m lucky to have him on my side. Thanks David!
